Secure Storage from Maffucci Bekins Protects Peace Angels Project Sculpture

Maffucci Bekins, trusted New York moving and storage company for over forty years, has safely stored the Renaissance Peace Angel, one of Lin Evola’s Peace Angels Project sculptures at its storage facility on Long Island, New York.  The Renaissance Peace Angel is part of the permanent collection of the National September 11 Memorial Museum in New York and is in preparation for permanent installation at the Museum.

1cEvola started the Peace Angels Project in 1992 to visually represent our need to change the dominant culture of violence.  Created from the melted down stainless core of decommissioned missiles and street weapons, her sculptures show that peace is possible.

Two Peace Angel sculptures will soon be part of the first-ever exhibition of the Peace Angels Project, “World on Fire,” December 11 – 24, 2015, at Studio Vendome in New York. In addition to two Peace Angels Project sculptures, the exhibit includes 21 water color peace symbols as well as the Reflection Peace Series, created from decommissioned weapons.

Evola is looking forward to exhibiting her work at Studio Vendome. “The Peace Angels Project is especially important in this time of increased global violence and anxiety,” she says. “I’m glad to be able to exhibit a collection of work that generates hope by symbolizing the possibility of changing our violent world to one of peace.”

maffucci_canal_streetEvola is also glad she partnered with Maffucci BekinsMoving and Storage Company to keep her Renaissance Peace Angel sculpture safe.  “I trust the Maffucci Bekins team to handle my sculpture with care.  They have stored it safely and securely in their climate controlled, fire proof storage facility for several years.  No one beats Maffucci Bekins when it comes to customer service, professionalism, and quality. I intend to continue working with them to help with the continued storage needs of the Peace Angels Project.”
